Alamkouh & Takht-e-Solayman region is the most beautiful mountainous region in Iran. Locating less than 50km south of Caspian sea shore in west Alborz, Alamkouh peak (4860m) as the second highest point of Iran has stood in the heart of this region. The north wall of Alamkouh (more than 460m of steep granite wall) is the most challenging wall in the country, which has been surrounded by many peaks above 4000m. Chaloon(4520m) and SiahKaman (4470m) are among these peaks, where their special location will give you an enchanting view of this prestigious massif from the top of these two 4000ers of the region.

1 night in lodge & 2 nights in the hut

We recommend May to September for visiting this region. Though, there is a chance of rain and unstable weather in this region, even in summer time.
Any winter ascent in this region is tough and needs previous experience on winter mountaineering.

We take a trekking trail from Vandarbon to Sarchal hut in the 2nd day. Also we trek over moraines of Alamchal glacier and scramble over the rocky flank of SiahKaman to reach to the summits of SiahKaman and Chaloon in 3rd day.
